Economy Acting Minister Reviews Production Process at Shafaco Factory

Sana'a: Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri reviewed the production process at the 'Shafaco' Pharmaceutical Industries Company factory. During the visit, accompanied by Chairman of the General Investment Authority Mohamed Ishaq and businessman Hassan Al-Kabbous, the acting minister received briefings from the factory's administrative and technical staff on production activities, quality control procedures in the laboratories, as well as expansion projects, plans to develop and scale up the production process.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bashiri praised the factory's commitment to the highest standards of good pharmaceutical manufacturing practices and product quality, noting its focus on producing specialized drugs that meet local market needs and reduce reliance on imported medicines. He emphasized the Ministry of Economy's readiness to provide all forms of support to help develop the production process and expansion projects within the framework of plans to localize pharmaceutical industries, ensuring pharmaceutical security.
