Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Daees inaugurated the Third Sana'a Education Exhibition 2026 on Monday. Dr. Al-Daees, accompanied by Director of Activities at the Higher Education Sector Abdul Karim Al-Dhahhak, along with several heads of private universities and colleges, toured the exhibition's various sections and pavilions. The four-day event is organized by Nahdat Fikr Foundation for Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with the Higher Education Sector of the Education Ministry, aiming to showcase academic programs, specializations offered by universities, colleges, and institutes under one roof.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister received a briefing from the foundation's director, Harith Mohiuddin, who explained that the exhibition features 17 private universities, 12 community colleges, medical and English-language institutes, as well as electronic wallet providers, banks, and stationery companies. The event seeks to bring educational institutions together in one venue and help prospective students choose suitable academic specializations while benefiting from available offers, discounts, and enrollment incentives.
Dr. Al-Daees described the exhibition as an important annual event and a vital platform serving students, parents, and academic institutions alike. He noted that it provides students-particularly secondary school graduates-with an opportunity to explore a wide range of programs and disciplines offered by public, private universities, technical colleges, and training centers.
He reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting such initiatives, which encourage healthy competition among educational institutions and motivate students to pursue higher education. He also urged universities to organize seminars and workshops introducing students to specialized fields that meet labor market needs, emphasizing the state's focus on promoting practical and applied education.
For his part, Nahdat Fikr Foundation Director Harith Mohiuddin highlighted the support provided by Yemen Telecom and KAK Bank for the exhibition and its accompanying activities, including a free training program for secondary school graduates titled 'How to Choose Your University Major.' He noted that the exhibition offers students a valuable opportunity to compare tuition fees, scholarships, and competitive advantages among different institutions in one place.
Meanwhile, Coordinator of Private Universities Haroun Shaddad and CAC Bank representative Hisham Bal'eish praised the high level of preparation and organization of the exhibition, which brings together most universities, educational institutions, and electronic wallet providers. Participants are offering academic consultations, services, scholarships, discounts, and tuition incentives across a variety of medical, engineering, computer science, administrative, and humanities disciplines.
