Sana'a: A meeting was held on Saturday in Sana'a bringing together the Minister of Education, Hassan Al-Saadi, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Ammar Al-Karim, and the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Nasser Al-Mahdar, along with the Governor of Mahwit, Haneen Qutaina. The meeting was devoted to discussing the educational situation in the governorate, as well as plans and programs aimed at developing the education sector and improving the level of educational performance and its development needs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Duaiss, and the President of Mahwit University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalbi, also addressed procedures for preparing and inaugurating the Faculty of Agriculture at Mahwit University, in implementation of the vision and directives of the revolutionary and political leadership aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing its scientific and academic outputs.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education affirmed the ministry's keenness to support the educational process in various governorates, praising the efforts of the leadership of Mahwit Governorate in overcoming the difficulties facing general and higher education, as well as educational and academic staff. He pointed out that the ministry attaches great importance to the governorates in light of additional needs to ensure the stability of the educational process and to provide an appropriate school and university environment for students.
For his part, the Governor of Mahwit reviewed a brief report on the progress of the educational and academic process in the governorate, expressing appreciation for the continued cooperation of the Ministry of Education. He confirmed that the local authority places the education sector at the top of its priorities, expressing the governorate's readiness to provide all possible facilitation to implement the ministry's plans in a way that serves the interests of the governorate's students in the education sector.
