Sana'a: The Basic Education Sector at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research convened a workshop on Thursday to discuss the regulatory mechanism for hiring administrative and teaching staff in private schools for the 1448 AH academic year.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop commenced with Undersecretary of the Basic Education Sector, Hadi Ammar, emphasizing the Ministry's dedication to enhancing education quality in private institutions and preventing arbitrary appointments of staff members. Ammar underscored the necessity of regulating the contracting process, standardizing acceptance criteria and procedures, and ensuring legal protection for both the schools and their employees.

The event, which saw participation from Abdulqader al-Mahdi, Head of the Education Sector in the Capital Secretariat, highlighted that the discussed mechanism will act as a mandatory regulatory framework for all private schools. This framework is designed to ensure that the educational services provided are in alignment with the tuition fees paid by parents.

During the workshop, Undersecretary Ammar urged participants, including representatives from educational districts within the Secretariat, Sana'a governorate, and private schools, to actively contribute to refining the mechanism. The comprehensive framework covers various aspects such as objectives, target groups, hiring conditions, standards and controls, rights and duties, executive procedures, roles and responsibilities, penalties, and final provisions.
