Brussels: A three-day community-building course, 'Level One,' organized by the local authority and mobilization office in Ibb governorate, concluded on Thursday, targeting 120 social leaders from the districts of al-Shaer, al-Qafr, Ba'adan, and Hubaish.

According to Yemen News Agency, the course aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills in social development and community reform, strengthen their role in reinforcing faith-based identity, and counter soft-war campaigns and rumors threatening social cohesion and national unity.

The program included awareness and cultural lectures emphasizing the role of social leaders in promoting community security, conflict resolution, and values of cooperation, solidarity, and tolerance, thereby safeguarding internal stability.

At the closing session, Governor of Ibb Abdulwahid Salah discussed with participants the key needs of the districts and ways to enhance the community's role in supporting development efforts, serving society, and expanding initiatives that strengthen social cohesion and address local issues.

Governor Salah praised the active participation of community members, highlighting their contributions to state-led development and social awareness programs. He emphasized the importance of fostering values of love, peace, solidarity, and resilience against soft-war campaigns targeting Yemen's faith-based identity and cultural heritage.

He also stressed the necessity of community partnership to maintain security and stability, confront negative social phenomena, and protect the public peace from those attempting to undermine the governorate's stability.

Governor Salah concluded by underscoring the role of community leaders in instilling national values, rejecting hatred, and eliminating regional or sectarian divisions while promoting cooperation and unity among citizens to strengthen national solidarity and societal cohesion.
