Marib: Residents of al-Amoud and Qaniyah subdistricts in the Mahliyah district of Marib governorate held two protest vigils on Thursday to denounce repeated insults to the Holy Quran, support al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine, and express solidarity with Lebanon.

According to Yemen News Agency, participants raised slogans condemning American and Zionist attacks on the Quran and Islamic holy sites, as well as the ongoing desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque. The protests were a response to what they perceive as hostile actions targeting Islam and its followers.

A joint statement from the vigils urged Arab and Islamic peoples to take serious action, intensify boycott campaigns, and hold mass demonstrations against these hostile schemes. The protesters called for solidarity and unity among Muslim communities worldwide.

The statement affirmed Mahliyah district residents' steadfast commitment to Quranic and religious principles, pledging support for Gaza and the Palestinian people until the liberation of al-Aqsa and all Palestinian lands. It also expressed full solidarity with Hezbollah's resistance in Lebanon, praising their powerful strikes against the Israeli enemy occupation.
