Sana'a: The education sector in Ibb governorate organized a commemorative event to mark the martyrdom of Imam Zaid (peace be upon him) for the year 1448 AH, under the slogan "Imam Zaid: Insight and Struggle."
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the education sector in the governorate, Mohammed al-Ghazali, highlighted the significance of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Zaid as an important religious and educational milestone. He emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from Imam Zaid's values of dignity, sacrifice, and steadfastness in confronting injustice and deviation. Al-Ghazali noted that Imam Zaid's enduring model of sacrifice and selflessness serves as a practical application of supporting truth and confronting falsehood, while also strengthening responsibility and awareness among society, particularly amidst national challenges.
Al-Ghazali further stated that the education sector remains committed to its mission of building a conscious generation fortified with knowledge and faith, prepared to defend the homeland and instill resilience and steadfastness among students and educational staff.
Mohammed Al-Mutawakil, Deputy Head of the Education Sector in the governorate, remarked that the anniversary serves as a moment to draw inspiration from patience, steadfastness, and insight, recalling Imam Zaid's honorable stances in upholding truth and confronting injustice and arrogance. He stressed that commemorating the anniversary strengthens awareness among generations and reinforces adherence to the values and principles for which Imam Zaid sacrificed, thereby bolstering national cohesion and resilience.
Dr. Hashim Wajih al-Din, Deputy Head of Guidance in the province, pointed out that Imam Zaid and other guiding figures of righteousness represent the practical application of the Holy Quran's teachings. He emphasized that following their example is the path to reforming the nation's reality and restoring its glory and unity. Dr. al-Din underscored the importance of Imam Zaid's Quranic project, which focused on enjoining good, forbidding evil, and confronting deviation, and the need to draw inspiration from these principles to build individuals capable of facing various challenges.
