Al-Hazm:Al-Jawf The Entisaf Organization for the Protection of Women's and Children's Rights has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as a massacre committed by Saudi forces in Al-Jawf Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization detailed in a statement that the Saudi forces targeted the central Al-Hazm market during peak shopping hours. The attack also affected nearby residential homes and a fuel station, resulting in the deaths of more than 14 civilians and injuries to 16 others, including three women. The assault caused significant damage to commercial establishments and homes in the vicinity.
The organization emphasized that the ongoing attacks, characterized by airstrikes, missile, and artillery shelling, particularly targeting women and children, are in blatant violation of international agreements and laws. It declared the attack a war crime and a crime against humanity, highlighting the continued 100-day period of violence and massacres against the Yemeni population as a severe breach of international humanitarian and human rights laws.
Responsibility for the attack is fully attributed to the Saudi regime by the organization, which holds it criminally and legally accountable for the victims' lives, especially the women and children affected. The Entisaf Organization has urged United Nations bodies and international human rights organizations to take immediate action to document these crimes and bring those responsible to justice. They also called for global pressure to halt the escalation and lift the siege on Yemen, which has persisted for 12 years, exacerbating humanitarian suffering.
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the victims, monitoring violations, pursuing perpetrators, and voicing concerns at international platforms.
