Sanaa: Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights released a report today titled 'Yemen Between U.S. Attacks and Supporting Innocent Cries,' documenting U.S. aggression against Yemen between March 15 and January 2025.
According to Yemen News Agency, the report documents over 1,700 airstrikes launched by U.S. forces targeting civilian areas, facilities, and infrastructure using advanced and prohibited weaponry, resulting in over 2,000 civilian casualties, including women and children.
The report underscores the Yemeni people's continued commitment to supporting Palestinians, who are facing severe challenges from what the report describes as the Zionist war machine. It condemns the international community's silence, particularly the United Nations and certain Arab regimes that have normalized relations with Israel. These actions are categorized as violations of international law and acts of genocide.
The report assigns legal responsibility to Israel and its allies for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and criticizes states that remain silent as complicit in these acts. It calls for an end to the aggression against Yemen and advocates for opening humanitarian corridors to aid Palestinians.
Entisaf urges international bodies, including the UN and the International Criminal Court, to document and investigate alleged war crimes by the U.S., Israel, and their allies. It stresses the need for prosecution, victim compensation, infrastructure rebuilding, and the unhindered delivery of aid.
During the report's presentation, Ali Taysir from the Ministry of Justice commended Entisaf's work in exposing the crimes committed by the U.S., Britain, and Israel. He emphasized Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine despite facing its own challenges.
Legal adviser Hamid Al-Rafiq highlighted the legal violations of U.S. actions in Yemen, labeling them as war crimes. He emphasized Yemen's right under the Genocide Convention to oppose Israel's actions in Gaza.
Somaya Al-Taifi, head of Entisaf, stated that the report aims to shed light on the actions of major global powers against Yemeni civilians, who remain vocal against the ongoing situation in Gaza.
