Sana’a: The Entisaf Organization for Women and Children’s Rights issued a human rights report today entitled “Tyranny of Raids and Bloodshed,” documenting the Israeli airstrike that targeted civilian sites in the Yemeni capital on September 25th.
According to Yemen News Agency, the report explained that the attack, carried out by Israeli warplanes, directly targeted homes in Al-Raqas Street and the Al-Madrasa neighborhood in Old Sana’a, as well as the Dhahban station, a prison reform building, and the Al-Sabeen and Al-Wahda districts, resulting in civilian casualties, including women and children.
The report included detailed documentation of the attack, statistics on the number of civilian victims, and was based on testimonies and interviews with eyewitnesses who experienced the horrific bombing.
The organization emphasized that the deliberate bombing of civilian areas constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law. It noted that the report included a detailed analysis of the legal framework of the crime, based on relevant international laws, treaties, and conventions, to demonstrate that what happened to unarmed civilians in several areas of the capital amounts to war crimes.
The report was considered further evidence documenting the systematic targeting of civilians and infrastructure in Yemen. The international community and human rights organizations were urged to take immediate action to ensure accountability for perpetrators and justice for victims.
