Establishment of Harf Sufyan Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association in Amran

Amran: The founding meeting of the Harf Sufyan Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association was held in Amran Governorate today to elect its administrative and supervisory bodies.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, the internal regulations of the association and the desired objectives of its founding were reviewed as part of efforts to support farmers and meet their needs within an institutional system. The meeting resulted in the election of an administrative body consisting of nine members, headed by Saleh Ayyadi, and a supervisory and inspection body consisting of five members.

The official of the Agricultural Sector in the governorate, Naji Salama, emphasized the importance of establishing this association in Harf Sufyan District. Salama highlighted the responsibility to mobilize efforts for supporting the agricultural revolution and cooperative development work. He elaborated on the association's basic statute, goals, tasks, and programs, urging widespread participation in activating the agricultural force to achieve a comprehensive renaissance and self-sufficiency, aligning with the directives of the leadership and government.

The meeting saw the participation of the Bonyan Foundation coordinator in the governorate, Salim Al-Qulaisi, and a representative of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in the governorate. The association was established with funding from the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit and in coordination with various local and agricultural bodies, including the Bonyan Development Foundation.
