Taiz: The Khadir District Security Department in Taiz Governorate organized a cultural evening commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), coinciding with the annual commemoration of International Quds Day.
According to Yemen News Agency, the evening was attended by Shura Council member Maan Abdulrahman, the head of the Rescue Unit and Director of Finance for the Governorate Security Department, Colonel Ahmed Darham, the Director of Khadir District, Fares Al-Jaradi, the district's Mobilization Officer, Nasser Al-Hamdani, along with several security and military leaders, social figures, and dignitaries. The event featured speeches highlighting the profound significance of this religious and historical occasion.
Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali, noting it as an opportunity to draw inspiration from his values of sacrifice, justice, and courage. Imam Ali is revered as a model leader for upholding truth, supporting the oppressed, and confronting falsehood.
They elaborated on Imam Ali's character as an ethical and humanitarian school, embodying values of justice, fairness, and wisdom. The commemoration, they said, strengthens societal awareness and encourages emulation of his noble example in various life aspects.
The speeches also focused on International Quds Day, underscoring its role in reaffirming the commitment to the Palestinian cause and emphasizing the centrality of Quds in the Arab and Islamic conscience. The event served as a rejection of attempts to erase Quds' identity or liquidate its cause.
