Sanaa: European stock indices closed Tuesday on a flat note, as investors awaited the results of the second day of US-China trade talks in London. The Stoxx Europe 600 index closed flat for the second consecutive day at 553.12 points.
According to Yemen News Agency, the financial sector index fell 1.4 percent, driven by a nearly 5 percent drop in UBS shares. The defense sector also fell to its lowest level in more than a week. Conversely, the energy sector performed best, supported by higher oil prices. The healthcare sector also rose 1.2 percent, led by Novo Nordisk, which rose nearly 6 percent.
