Sana’a: European shares rose on Monday, buoyed by optimism in global markets as investors welcomed initial signs that the historic US government shutdown might soon end. The pan-European STOXX 600 index climbed 1.1 percent to 571 points by 08:09 GMT, recovering from its lowest closing level in more than three weeks, which it hit on Friday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the index posted its biggest weekly loss since late August in the previous session, as investors remained cautious amid concerns about a technology bubble and the lack of official US data due to the 40-day federal government shutdown.
