Brussels: The European Union has issued a strong condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and government-controlled areas in Yemen. These attacks, which included strikes in the Najran region and Marib city, have led to casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, prompting the EU to express its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government while extending condolences to the victims' families. The EU has labeled the targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure as unacceptable, urging an immediate cessation of such actions.

According to European Union, these attacks represent a dangerous escalation, further destabilizing the region and threatening ongoing efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The EU has called on the Houthis to halt all attacks both inside and outside Yemen.

The European Union reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the people of Yemen and collaborating with the United Nations, regional partners, and the international community to promote de-escalation, enhance regional stability, and achieve a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable peace.
