Sana'a: Cultural evenings were held in several neighborhoods of Al-Thawra District in Sana'a to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, in Al-Nahda neighborhood, residents of the Libyan City quarter organized an event attended by members of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Tuqi, and the Shura Council, Yahya Al-Mahdi, as well as the head of the Planning Committee of the Sana'a Local Council, Sharaf Al-Hadi, Judge Mansour Al-Arjali, a member of the Grievances Redress Authority, Brigadier General Hashim Ibrahim, Director of the Civil Status Branch in Sana'a, and other community figures.
During the event, Al-Mahdi described the birth of the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers as a birth of light and guidance, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Allah's blessings, especially the birth of the Prophet, as this is a way of honoring one of Allah's sacred rites. He pointed out that Allah has elevated the mention and status of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
He urged everyone to express joy and happiness on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday and to strengthen their connection to and emulation of the noble Messenger, noting the unique way Yemenis celebrate the birth of the greatest Prophet, unlike other people in the Muslim world.
He pointed out that the world today looks upon Yemen with great respect and admiration because Yemenis celebrate their noble Prophet in a way that is unparalleled globally.
Meanwhile, cultural activist Ahmed Al-Kholani emphasized the importance of honoring the Prophet, whom Allah sent to guide people from the darkness of ignorance to the light of mercy and guidance, considering the Yemenis' celebration of his birth an expression of their love and devotion to him.
In addition, residents of the Dahman neighborhood in the Tunis district, the Al-Hayara neighborhood in the Al-Malab district, and the northern Al-Hasaba neighborhood organized cultural evenings to celebrate the Prophet's birthday. These evenings, attended by a number of leaders, elders, social figures, and residents of the neighborhoods, included operettas, recitations, educational plays, and performances of traditional folk songs.
