Evenings in Hajjah Province Commemorate Yawm al-Wilayah

Hajjah: Cultural evenings were held in the center of Hajjah province (in the Qadam and Adh Dhahrayn areas) and in the districts of Washhah, Abs, and Al-Miftah, celebrating the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (Yawm al-Wilayah) of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

According to Yemen News Agency, the speeches addressed the importance of commemorating this anniversary to renew loyalty to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali, to draw lessons from his biography in sacrifice, courage, and supporting truth, and to enhance the factors of steadfastness and resilience in the face of tyrants and the forces of arrogance.

Speakers affirmed that the principle of guardianship (wilayah) immunizes the nation from deviation and subservience to Jews and Christians, and preserves its dignity and honor. They pointed out that the Yemeni people's adherence to this occasion expresses their close connection to Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and that celebrating it is not new but rather inherited across generations.

The evenings featured heritage segments and an operetta, and were attended by local and mobilization officials and scholars.
