Sana'a: The Remand Correctional Facility in Sana'a Governorate organized a cultural event to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein bin Ali (peace be upon them), attended by security and local leaders, as well as social figures.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, the facility's director, Major Mazen Issa, emphasized that Ashura represents an important occasion to reflect on the values of sacrifice, steadfastness, and adherence to the path of Imam Hussein in confronting deviation, defending the principles and authentic values of Islam.
He noted that the tragedy of Karbala was the result of accumulated challenges and the deviation of the nation from the path laid down by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). He stressed that Karbala will remain an enduring school of sacrifice, devotion, liberation, and a source of inspiration for all those who seek to uphold truth and justice.
For his part, the facility's cultural officer, Abdullah Dalham, reviewed the profound lessons of Karbala, describing it as a lasting model of dedication and selflessness whose meanings will continue to inspire future generations in confronting tyranny.
