Amran: The local authority and the General Mobilization in Amran Governorate organized a cultural and speech event to mark the anniversary of the passing of the eminent scholar Badr al-Din Amir al-Din al-Houthi.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by several dignitaries, including Governor Dr. Faisal Jaaman, General Mobilization Official Brig. Gen. Sajad Hamza, Secretary-General of the Local Council Saleh Al-Makhlous, and Deputy Governor Hassan Al-Ashqas. First Deputy Governor Abdulaziz Abu Kharfashah reviewed aspects of the scholarly and jihadi legacy of Badr al-Din al-Houthi, emphasizing his role in teaching Islamic sciences, spreading Qur'anic culture, and contributing to the consolidation of faith-based concepts while confronting foreign ideas and cultures.
Abu Kharfashah noted that the late scholar was a model of a devout religious figure who combined knowledge with action, dedicating his life to serving the Holy Qur'an and educating generations in its principles and values. He affirmed that commemorating Badr al-Din al-Houthi's passing reflects loyalty to his journey and serves as an opportunity to draw inspiration from his adherence to the Holy Qur'an and promotion of awareness in confronting challenges.
Member of the Yemen Scholars Association, scholar Mohammed Al-Makhadhi, highlighted Badr al-Din al-Houthi's role in confronting seditions and challenges in the country, emphasizing his efforts in reconciliation and social cohesion. Al-Makhadhi stressed the importance of following the late scholar's approach in spreading knowledge and reinforcing Islamic values.
The event featured documentary presentations on the late scholar's life, showcasing his scholarly and intellectual contributions. The materials highlighted his courage in confronting intellectual and cultural challenges and his steadfast embodiment of religious responsibility throughout his life.
