Muscat: The local council and General Mobilization in Shu'ub district of the Capital Secretariat organized a central event today to commemorate the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah (Day of Guardianship), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master." The event was attended by members of the Shura Council, Ahmed Al-Zubairi and Mohsen Jamil, and the head of the General Authority for Lands, Judge Ibrahim Al-Mansour. A member of the Shura Council, Ahmed Al-Sharabi, pointed to the importance and religious and historical significance of Yawm al-Wilayah.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ahmed Al-Sharabi affirmed that this occasion represents a faith-based milestone to draw inspiration from the values and principles embodied by Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him). He reviewed aspects of Imam Ali's stances in supporting Islam and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), including his stance on the night of the Hijra when he slept in the Prophet's bed.
The event, attended by members of the administrative body, local and executive leaders, sheikhs, social figures, and a crowd of residents of Shu'ub district, featured a poem expressing the significance of the occasion.
