Al mahwit: A student celebration marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth was held on Saturday in Al Mahwit City, organized by the city's private Al-Tamayuz Schools.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governor Abdul Salam Al-Dhamari highlighted the significance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as an educational and spiritual occasion to reflect on the life of the Prophet Muhammad and draw inspiration from his morals, principles, and humanitarian values. He emphasized that such commemorations in educational settings help raise a generation connected to its spiritual and cultural identity, drawing from the Prophet's values of compassion, tolerance, and solidarity.
Al-Dhamari also stressed the importance of utilizing school activities to enhance students' abilities, develop their talents, and provide opportunities for creative expression. This approach supports the educational process and instills noble values among young people.
Al-Mahwit City District Director Khaled Al-Nasser added that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects the nation's love for the Prophet and strengthens its connection to his exemplary life and the lessons it offers in morality, benevolence, cooperation, and community service.
Meanwhile, the city's education sector official, Malik Al-Shahdhi, noted that such events present an important opportunity to introduce students to the Prophet's biography and notable deeds, while fostering their creative and cultural abilities. He advocated for continued educational activities and programs that contribute to building students' personalities, developing their skills and talents, and promoting moral and spiritual values within the educational environment.
Following the event, Al-Dhamari, Al-Nasser, and Al-Shahdhi inaugurated an exhibition of photographs, models, and artwork showcasing the students' creativity and talents.
