Sana'a: The Chairman of the Shura Council, Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, along with Deputy Speaker Deifallah Rassam, visited the summer center at the Orphan Care and Rehabilitation Home located in the Al-Sabeen District of Sana'a. The visit aimed to assess the educational, sports, and cultural programs available to students during the summer break.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Aidaroos and Rassam were accompanied by Secretary-General Ali Abdulmughni and several other council members. They received a detailed presentation from the Home's director, Ahmed Al-Khazan, who highlighted the range of educational, health, cultural, and social services offered by the facility. The Orphan Care Home currently supports 662 resident students, 273 external orphans at various basic education levels, and 107 university students.
Al-Khazan discussed the ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive care and improve services despite facing challenges. During an event with students, Al-Aidaroos praised the administration and organizers of the summer center. He noted the significant attention given by both the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to the institution, emphasizing its role in preparing effective cadres in different fields.
Al-Aidaroos reiterated that caring for orphans is a reflection of the faith-based principles and humanitarian values held by the Yemeni people. He assured the Shura Council's commitment to supporting the sustainability of the Home's services. He also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts from both official bodies and the community to support the Orphan Care Home's mission.
Furthermore, Al-Aidaroos highlighted the potential role that orphans and summer center students in raising community awareness, underpinned by the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet. Director Al-Khazan viewed the visit as moral support for students and teachers, hoping for increased state attention to the educational sector, which he views as crucial for national development and building a knowledgeable generation.
