Expanded Gathering in Al-Jarraf Al-Gharbi District Marks Prophet’s Birthday

Al-thawra: An expanded consultative gathering was held on Tuesday in Al-Jarraf Al-Gharbi neighborhood, Al-Thawra Directorate, Capital Secretariat, as part of preparatory activities to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Shura Council member Yahya Al-Mahdi and member of the Yemeni Scholars Association Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mahdi, who highlighted the Yemeni people's distinctive observance of the Prophet's birthday. He emphasized the importance of honoring the Messenger of guidance and mercy by expressing joy on the occasion, emulating the Prophet's morals and values, and supporting Islam while confronting its adversaries.

Director of the Capital Secretariat Local Water Corporation, Engineer Mohammed Mada'as, underscored the significance of the occasion as one of the religious observances. He stressed the importance of drawing lessons from the Prophet's life and promoting charitable work, goodness, and social solidarity. Mada'as also called for broad public participation in the major celebration scheduled for 12 Rabi' Al-Awwal at Al-Sabeen Square.

Brigadier Hashem Ibrahim, Director of the Capital Secretariat Civil Status Office, remarked that commemorating the Prophet's birthday strengthens Yemenis' connection with God and His Messenger. It also encourages adherence to the Prophet's approach in confronting forces of aggression and arrogance.
