Aslam: An expanded meeting held on Sunday in Aslam district of Hajjah governorate, chaired by governor Hilal Al-Sufi, discussed ways to improve mobilization, development, agricultural, and service performance in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the district's needs in the health and water sectors, as well as community-led initiative projects. It also discussed the performance of Aslam Cooperative Agricultural Association and ways to develop its work to better serve farmers and enhance its role in agricultural activities. The meeting also addressed the land designated for Al-Rasheed Club in Al-Dhahr area, the waste disposal site and the importance of providing a suitable location and the necessary resources, as well as the needs of mosques.
The meeting approved assigning engineers to conduct field visits to assess community needs for projects to be implemented through community initiatives. It also approved a field visit to Wadi Bani Zaid to assess the damage caused by the theft of Nais from the valley and take the necessary measures.
Governor Al-Sufi, the Social Affairs Committee chairman, and the deputy governor stressed the need to pool efforts and work as one team to advance the agricultural sector and strengthen the resilience of the economic front. He underscored the cooperative association's role in marketing agricultural products in a way that encourages farmers, develops agricultural activities, achieves self-sufficiency, and reduces the import bill.
Al-Sufi also highlighted the importance of activating the implementation of community-led projects in the districts and the role of society in supporting state efforts in construction and development, in response to the call of the revolutionary leadership. The meeting also praised the qualitative operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces targeting Saudi enemy troop concentrations, calling on those who had been misled to return to the right path and join the ranks of the nation.
It stressed the importance of continuing participation in Al-Aqsa Flood courses and pursuing preparedness and training in anticipation of any emergency or options that may be adopted by the revolutionary leadership in confronting the forces of global arrogance.
