Sana’a: An expanded meeting was held today in Bani Hashish district, Sana’a governorate, launching activities marking the annual Martyr Anniversary. During the meeting, Shura Council member Fadl Manaa, District Director Rajeh Al-Hanami, and Secretary-General of the Local Council Ibrahim Al-Jilani praised the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives and blood in defense of the homeland, in support of the oppressed, and in confronting invaders and occupiers, so that the nation may enjoy freedom, independence, and a dignified life.
According to Yemen News Agency, the officials affirmed that commemorating the Martyr Anniversary embodies loyalty to the martyrs’ blood and sacrifices, noting that neglecting the cause for which they sacrificed is considered a betrayal of their sacrifices. The meeting, attended by a number of tribal elders and social figures, discussed plans and activities to be implemented during the Martyr Anniversary events, stressing the importance of proper preparation to honor this occasion, given the martyrs’ esteemed status in the hearts of the people.
