Hajjah: An expanded meeting was held on Saturday in Najrah District, Hajjah Governorate, chaired by Governor Hilal Al-Sufi, to discuss ways to enhance mobilization and development efforts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by officials, executive office representatives, local council members, and social figures, addressing efforts to strengthen resilience and steadfastness in confronting current challenges. Participants emphasized the importance of activating development initiatives and enhancing the role of the Najrah Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association in serving farmers and improving development and public services to meet citizens' needs.
The attendees reaffirmed the importance of training and developing combat skills in preparation for emergencies and what they described as the battle to break the Saudi blockade on Yemen. They stressed the need to strengthen the role of agricultural cooperatives in achieving food security, supporting farmers, and easing their burdens. Calls were made to revitalize the Najrah cooperative, develop its mechanisms, and facilitate the implementation of its agricultural and service projects.
Governor Al-Sufi and the governorate's deputy governors highlighted the need to maintain resilience and mobilize for the open 'Al-Aqsa Flood' training courses, in preparation for any decisions by the revolutionary leadership. They also called for activating community initiatives, strengthening official and community efforts to advance the agricultural sector, promoting cooperative work, and utilizing available resources to implement projects benefiting the district's residents.
Al-Sufi and his deputies described agricultural cooperatives as a cornerstone for supporting farmers, achieving food security, and advancing self-sufficiency. The district director praised the governorate leadership's support for development efforts and the Najrah cooperative, affirming that the local authority would continue providing the necessary support and facilities.
