Federation of Chambers Honors Winner of Green Entrepreneurship Award for SMEs

Sana'a: The General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry honored on Thursday the winner of the Green Entrepreneurship Training Program Award for small and medium enterprises. During the ceremony, Mohammed Salah, Vice Chairman of the Federation, said the award reflects the Federation's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and improving the management of local industries, especially green projects.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Federation's Director General Mohammed Qaflah emphasized the focus on SMEs through training and capacity building, noting that most of the submitted projects were innovative and deserving of encouragement. Award winner Asmaa Al-Jaadi highlighted the program's significant benefit in helping her develop a detailed plan to expand her project and adopt practical steps toward green business practices, including recycling materials to reduce costs. She expressed appreciation for the Federation's support for small business owners.

The winning project was selected from 20 submissions based on criteria such as clarity and feasibility of the business plan and the extent to which the project embraced green transformation. The Federation had implemented a four-day training program for 20 entrepreneurs and startup owners, providing skills and practical expertise in green entrepreneurship through a specialized training team.
