Hodeida: Al-Thawra General Hospital in Hodeida province on Thursday honored its medical, surgical, and administrative teams after concluding the governorate's first cancer surgery camp, which provided free consultations and operations for the most vulnerable patients.

According to Yemen News Agency, the five-day camp, supported by the General Authority for Zakat and held in cooperation with Al-Khazzan Hospital, offered free diagnostic and surgical services. It examined 70 cases and performed 21 successful operations, marking a significant development in the local healthcare landscape.

Hospital Director Dr. Khaled Suhail stated that the camp reflects efforts to expand specialized medical services within the governorate and reduce patients' need to travel outside Hodeidah for cancer surgery. He also highlighted the readiness of the hospital's teams and the partnership with Al-Khazzan Hospital as essential factors in improving performance and enhancing local surgical capacity.

Officials from Al-Khazzan Hospital emphasized the urgent need for such services in the region and commended all participants for their dedication and commitment. The ceremony recognized the contributions of the surgical and administrative teams, physiotherapists, operating technicians, and senior hospital leadership, celebrating their hard work and dedication to improving healthcare access.
