Hodeidah: The female staff of the Health and Environment Office in Hodeidah Governorate organized a celebratory event on Tuesday to mark the International Day of Muslim Women and the birth of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Nora Al-Sharif, Director of the Women's Department at the Health Office, underscored the importance of celebrating the birth of Sayyidah Al-Zahra as a spiritual milestone. She emphasized that Yemeni women can draw values of purity, resilience, and chastity from this occasion.
Dr. Al-Sharif also highlighted aspects of Sayyidah Fatimah Al-Zahra's noble biography, focusing on the lessons of sacrifice and steadfastness in the face of injustice and tyranny that her life represents. She pointed out that Yemeni women, during years of aggression, have embodied the ethics, patience, and strength of Al-Zahra in confronting the enemy and its tactics.
Participants in the event delivered speeches that underscored the importance of using the occasion to reflect on Lady Al-Zahra's role and status. They presented her as a model of ethics, chastity, awareness, and commitment to truth, urging a comparison between the current reality of women and the life of Sayyidah Fatimah (peace be upon her).
Speakers emphasized the need for Yemeni women to embody the values established by Sayyidah Al-Zahra and to continue their spiritual and national role in society. They affirmed that commemorating her birth strengthens women's awareness and motivates them to contribute to the nation's journey, particularly in defending causes such as the Palestinian issue.
