Sana'a: Sa'ada University, in coordination with the University Student Forum - Female Sector, organized a cultural and speech event marking the International Day of the Muslim Woman and the birth anniversary of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the event emphasized the significance of commemorating Fatima's birth, highlighting the Yemeni woman's connection to her faith and resilience. The discussions focused on Fatima's exemplary patience, steadfastness, and her opposition to injustice and tyranny. It was noted that Yemeni women continue this legacy by supporting the causes of the Muslim Ummah, with a particular focus on Palestine.
The event underscored the importance of celebrating Fatima's birth as a way for women to reconnect with her as a role model. Her life embodies the highest standards of Muslim womanhood through her ethics and principles, offering a powerful example for attendees to emulate.
Speakers also described the commemoration as an opportunity to draw inspiration from Fatima's values, encouraging participants to learn about her life and appreciate her esteemed position in the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Additionally, the event addressed the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, which are supported by the U.S. These include killings, targeting of women and children, starvation, and displacement, highlighting the stark contrast with proclaimed human rights and women's rights.
