Ibb: Ibb University organized a large festival today commemorating the Mawlid al-Nabawi, attended by Governor Abdul Wahid Salah and university president Dr. Nasser Al-Hajili. Governor Salah praised the university’s role in organizing the event, emphasizing that the occasion reinforces faith-based identity and national unity. He called for continued preparations for the central event on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal at the university’s “Greatest Messenger” Square, stressing that the commemoration should translate into practical values of mercy, solidarity, and service to society.
According to Yemen News Agency, university president Dr. Al-Hajili highlighted that the festival is the culmination of a series of activities across the university’s faculties, coinciding with ongoing infrastructure development projects. The Mobilization official Abdul Fattah Ghallab noted that the large turnout reflects the community’s steadfastness and readiness to face challenges, reaffirming support for the Palestinian people.
The festival featured poetic recitals, chants, and folk performances. At the conclusion, Governor Salah and the university president laid the foundation stone for the rehabilitation and maintenance of several buildings at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences, funded by the Supreme Agricultural Committee.
