Sana'a: The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in Sana'a Governorate carried out a field inspection on Wednesday targeting markets, shops, and commercial warehouses in the districts of New Sana'a, Sanhan, and Bani Bahloul.
According to Yemen News Agency, the inspection team, led by the Office's Director General, Fahd al-Gharbani, reviewed the availability of essential goods and traders' compliance with price display regulations and invoicing during sales operations. Al-Gharbani stated that the campaign is in implementation of directives from the Ministry of Economy and local authorities to strengthen oversight and protect consumers from spoiled and expired products.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a food stock that meets standards and covers citizens' needs. Al-Gharbani also stressed the need for cooperation with field teams, monitoring prices of goods and food items, and taking deterrent measures against violators. Inspections are planned to cover all districts.
