Mahweet: Ministry undersecretary of Transport and Public Works for the Roads Sector Eng. Nabil al-Haifi inspected ongoing road maintenance and repair works in several streets of Mahweet City, implemented by the Roads and Bridges Authority with funding from the Road Maintenance Fund. Al-Haifi reviewed progress on current projects and praised the technical teams for the quality of work. He also discussed the condition of the Rajm-Bab Al-Fujair-Jum'at Sara' road and directed a redesign review to improve key curves for traffic safety.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting approved listing al-Qanawis road among priority maintenance projects and preparing an assessment of its rehabilitation needs. Al-Haifi also called for accelerating emergency repairs on the Hababah-al-Tawilah road and preparing a full study to rehabilitate the Transportation Street in Mahweet, with 30 million riyals allocated by the Road Maintenance Fund.
Local officials affirmed readiness to support field teams and noted that upgrading key roads will improve the governorate's infrastructure and public services.
