Field Visit to Bani Qais Bee Reserve Marks Launch of Sidr Honey Production

Hajjah: A team of specialists from Bayda and Hodeida on Thursday visited Bani Qais Community Bee Reserve in Hajjah province to review operations and launch Sidr honey harvest for Bayda beekeepers. The team inspected beekeeping activities and honey products, while the district director highlighted the reserve's ideal environment for producing medicinal honey and its strict regulations that prevent hive overcrowding and ban sugar feeding to ensure purity.

According to Yemen News Agency, officials noted that the reserve has hosted beekeepers from nine governorates and adopted modern practices such as automated extraction and the use of wax foundations. The honey produced is described as pure, natural, and free from sugar feeding or medications.
