Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Meets with Islamic Relief Representative in Yemen

Sana'a: Foreign ministry undersecretary for international cooperation, Ambassador Ismail al-Mutawakil, met with Islamic Relief's representative in Yemen, Sadiq Khan.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, Ambassador al-Mutawakil highlighted the need for securing necessary funding to tackle the growing humanitarian challenges. He advocated for establishing a genuine and effective partnership between the relevant authorities and the organization.

He also emphasized strengthening coordination between government agencies and humanitarian organizations through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. This coordination aims to ensure that aid reaches the most vulnerable groups efficiently and quickly, enhancing the capacity to respond to urgent humanitarian needs.

Social affairs ministry undersecretary Aqabat supported this view by affirming the necessity of improving the quality of services provided to the most vulnerable groups. He reiterated the Ministry's commitment to supporting humanitarian projects that address needs and maximize benefits for those in need.

Sadiq Khan expressed Islamic Relief's dedication to fostering sustainable cooperation and ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. He underscored the organization's commitment to overcoming the challenges facing humanitarian needs in Yemen.
