Sanaa:The Health Care Association for Affected Communities has announced the extension of the free eye medicine and surgery camp for martyrs' families in the Bani Hushaysh District of Sanaa Governorate until next Monday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the association's head, Dr. Nashwan Al-Attab, stated that the camp is being implemented by the association and Sahetna Hospital, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Environment and the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families. It will cater to patients from martyrs' families as well as others, as part of the annual Martyr Day 1448 AH.
So far, 24 eye medicine and surgery operations have been conducted, with nine more scheduled for next Saturday under general anesthesia. The camp, which commenced last Monday, focuses on providing free examinations and check-ups related to eye health and performing surgeries for cataract, pterygium, eyelid cysts, and tear duct clearing.
