Hodeida: Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority in Hodeida province has launched a two-day free medical camp focused on mental and neurological illnesses, aiming to extend free healthcare services to the most vulnerable populations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the camp provides a comprehensive range of services including diagnosis, consultations, and free medications for patients suffering from mental and neurological conditions. The initiative also includes support from clinical nutrition and pharmacy teams to ensure holistic care.
Hospital Director Dr. Khaled Suhail noted that 154 patients from various age groups received medical examinations, psychological counseling, and nutritional advice on the first day. He underscored the pressing community need for such specialized camps, given the limited mental health services available in Hodeida.
Dr. Suhail reaffirmed the hospital's commitment to regularly organizing similar camps to enhance healthcare access. He pointed out the camp's comprehensive approach-covering examination, treatment, and psychological support-as a critical element of its success and social significance.
Additionally, Dr. Suhail commended the dedication and professionalism of the participating medical teams for delivering services with care and compassion.
