Sana'a: Parks and recreational gardens in the Capital Secretariat are preparing to receive visitors from the capital's residents and various governorates during the Eid al-Adha holiday. The Director General of the Gardens Department in the Capital Secretariat, Rami Al-Jundi, has announced that 66 public parks and gardens across all districts are fully ready to welcome visitors during the Eid days.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Jundi explained that 500 employees, including workers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and security personnel, have been assigned to provide services and care for visitors. The parks have undergone recent weeks of improvement works, including lighting, rehabilitation, tree planting, expansion of green spaces, and provision of free recreational games. There have been intensified efforts to complete technical and service preparations in the parks, along with coordination with relevant security and traffic authorities to ensure an appropriate environment for visitors.
Al-Jundi further confirmed that designated recreational areas have been allocated in Al-Sammad Grand Park in Al-Matar District, considering it a key recreational outlet for residents of Bani Al-Harith District and surrounding areas at the northern entrance of the Capital Secretariat. This initiative aims to enhance services and provide a suitable environment for families and children.
He also highlighted coordination with traffic police and security agencies and the preparation of a comprehensive traffic and organizational plan around parks, recreational sites, and congestion points to ensure smooth traffic flow, especially around Al-Sabeen Park during the Eid days.
The Director of the Gardens Department stated that these efforts are part of the Capital Secretariat's commitment to improving service levels and providing public recreational spaces that meet citizens' needs, particularly amid the increasing turnout witnessed by parks during holidays and special occasions. He urged citizens to preserve public park facilities and cleanliness, adhere to traffic instructions and guidance, and cooperate with traffic officers to ease congestion, maintain public safety, and contribute to creating a pleasant environment for spending the Eid holiday.
