Tehran: The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis), Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, reiterated this evening, Monday, that the American economy is not in a position that allows Washington to threaten other countries with boycotts over their dealings with his country.
According to Yemen News Agency, Ghalibaf said in a post on the "X" platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): "The Americans realize that no one will believe their nonsense and false bravado; America is not in an economic position that allows it to further restrict its relations with other countries."
He added: "Iran's trade partners have made it clear to us, through the media and their messages, that they do not take these statements seriously."
Earlier today, Ghalibaf stated, according to American figures and reports, that about 47 million Americans face hunger daily, including about 16 million children, affirming that Washington cannot cover up its defeats with false claims.
