Gold Falls After US Interest Rate Cut Expectations Diminish

Turkey: Gold continued its decline on Friday after positive data reduced expectations of an imminent US interest rate cut. By 04:26 GMT, spot gold had fallen 0.4% to $4,598.52 per ounce, but the precious metal was on track for weekly gains of about 2% after hitting an all-time high of $4,642.72 last Wednesday. Meanwhile, US gold futures for February delivery fell 0.5% to $4,601.80 per ounce.

According to Yemen News Agency, other precious metals also experienced declines. Silver fell 1.8% in spot trading to $90.70 an ounce, though it remained on track for weekly gains of more than 13% after reaching an all-time high of $93.57 in the previous session. Additionally, platinum dropped 2.8% to $2,342.14 an ounce, and palladium lost 2.3% to $1,759.07 an ounce after hitting a one-week low earlier in the session.
