Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday that Rosoboronexport remains a key player in the global arms market, with its cooperation spanning more than 120 countries.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a congratulatory message marking the company's 25th anniversary, published on the Kremlin's official website and reported by Sputnik, Putin said: "I congratulate you on the 25th anniversary of Rosoboronexport... It is gratifying that today, despite the difficult challenges, it remains a key player in the global arms market, with its cooperation covering more than 120 countries."
On November 17, 2024, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev confirmed that arms export contracts signed in 2024 reached a record high of $55 billion. This came in a statement to Sputnik News Agency on the sidelines of the Airshow China 2024 aerospace exhibition, which concluded in the Chinese city of Zhuhai.
Mikheyev said that the company's order portfolio in recent years was valued at approximately $50 billion. He explained that the contracts signed since the beginning of 2024 included military products and civilian technologies to support the armed forces and security agencies of partner countries.
