Governor of Hodeidah Inspects Free Medical Camp at Beit Al Faqih Central Hospital

Hodeidah: The Governor of Hodeidah, Abdullah Atifi, today inspected the workflow at the free surgical medical camp held at Beit Al Faqih Central Hospital. The camp is implemented by the Republican Hospital Authority in Sanaa, as part of humanitarian health intervention programs aimed at expanding free treatment services for citizens.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Atifi, along with the deputy governor for southern square districts, Mutahar Al Hadi, reviewed the level of medical equipment, the mechanism for receiving patients, and the organization of examination and surgical procedures. They listened to an explanation from the hospital director, Dr. Salem Al Bishri, about the nature of services provided at the camp, which lasts for one week, and the increasing turnout from the residents of the southern square districts.

Al Bishri explained that the camp provides free medical and surgical services in the ear, nose, and throat specialty, including examinations, check-ups, and surgeries for targeted cases. These services are supervised by specialized medical staff as part of efforts to alleviate patient suffering and provide healthcare for those in need.

During the visit, the governor listened to several patients and their companions in the emergency, surgery, and inpatient wards. They expressed satisfaction with the level of organization, medical care, and free services provided, appreciating the opportunity the camp offers for treatment and relieving the living burdens of needy families.

The Governor of Al Hudaydah praised the efforts of the medical and administrative teams working in the camp and the level of humanitarian and professional performance in receiving cases and conducting examinations and surgeries. He affirmed the importance of expanding the establishment of specialized medical camps in rural areas and densely populated districts, contributing to bringing health services closer to citizens.

Atifi affirmed the local authority's keenness to provide the necessary facilities to support medical and humanitarian initiatives and enhance the role of central hospitals in serving citizens, in line with the increasing needs of the population and raising the level of health services provided in Hodeidah province.
