Hadhban & Al-Maghrabi Honor Winners of Cultural Competition for Deaf Category

Sanaa: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for the Sports Sector Ali Hadhban and Executive Director of the Youth and Sports Welfare Fund Abdulhamid Al-Maghrabi honored the cultural team of the Deaf Association, which won the Cultural Competitions Championship.

According to Yemen News Agency, the recognition comes for outstanding performers in competitions organized by the General Administration of Cultural and Social Activities at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. These competitions were part of the Fourth Republic Athletics Championship and the Ninth Chess Championship for the Deaf category. The events aim to enhance knowledge, promote fair competition, and strengthen social bonds among the participants.

The program featured cultural contests supervised by Director of Cultural Activities Dr. Mohammed Haj and Libraries Director Walid Noman. Participants demonstrated intellectual abilities, leading to a victory for the Deaf Association team, which claimed the cultural championship title.

The program also included an awareness lecture delivered by Executive Director Abdulhamid Al-Maghrabi, titled 'The Slogan is a Weapon and a Stance.' He highlighted the role of slogans in strengthening national identity and youth awareness.

Al-Maghrabi emphasized that slogans serve as an intellectual compass connecting youth to their faith-based roots and political reality, reflecting pride in sovereignty and dignity. He stressed that awareness is the strongest weapon for protecting society and building generations capable of assuming national responsibility.

Following the event, participants took a recreational and tourism trip to Wadi Dhar Park, where they visited the famous Dar al-Hajar landmark.
