Hajjah: The General Authority for Endowments and Guidance Office in Hajjah governorate honored 85 orphans residing at the Orphan Care and Rehabilitation Home. This event marked the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday and was part of the fifth phase of the 'Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety' project.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Governorate Mobilization Officer Abdullah Shayem highlighted the significance of such projects in promoting Prophetic values and enhancing social solidarity within the community. He acknowledged the efforts of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance and its Hajjah office in executing activities that meet the objectives of endowers and contribute to societal service and alleviating public hardships.
Sheikh Abdulmajid Sharaf al-Din, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, described the project as a practical way of honoring the Prophet's birthday. He emphasized the necessity of expanding the reach of these projects and programs to further support orphans and those in need, thereby fostering social solidarity.
In attendance were Central District Director Mahyoub Sara'a and Deputy Director of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance Office Abduh Al-Ahnoumi. Fouad Salah, Director of the Endowments Branch in Kahlan Afar District, explained that the fifth phase of the 'Cooperate in Righteousness and Piety' program is aligned with the Authority's strategy to activate endowment disbursement channels and achieve the endowers' intentions.
Salah stated that the leadership is committed to executing projects aimed at reinforcing social solidarity, meeting endowers' objectives, and promoting resilience. The current phase of the project includes direct financial assistance and hosted meals for the beneficiaries.
Deputy Director of the Orphan Care Home at the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohammed Al-Shaqri, commended the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance Office for implementing programs that reduce the hardships faced by orphans.
A speech on behalf of the orphanage residents expressed gratitude for the attention given to orphans by the leader of the revolution, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the General Authority for Endowments.
