Hajjah: The Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, today inspected Al-Rabou'a Health Center and several health units in the Washha District.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Sufi was accompanied by key officials including Governorate Undersecretary Ibrahim Amer, education sector official Ali Al-Qutayb, deputy mobilization official Ahmed Al-Ghamari, and directors Saleh Al-Falahi and Abdulqudus Al-Khashab. Together, they reviewed the progress of health services being provided to citizens at the center and the health units.
The officials were briefed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlani, director of the Health Office in the governorate, regarding the ongoing procedures to approve Al-Rabou'a Health Center as a rural hospital. They also discussed steps to support health facilities in the district. Dr. Hamid Farwan, the district health director, along with the directors of the center and health units, explained the current level of medical performance, challenges faced, and the necessary needs for service development.
During the visit, Governor Al-Sufi emphasized the urgency of completing technical and administrative procedures to approve the center as a rural hospital. He noted this would expand health service provision to district residents and alleviate the burden on central hospitals. Al-Sufi commended the progress at Al-Rabou'a Center and directed efforts to meet the needs of Haqqa Health Center and other health units affected by external aggression.
Moreover, the Governor highlighted the significance of the Health Office's role in supplying specialized medical staff, ensuring equipment readiness, and coordinating with authorities for the consistent supply of medicines. He reiterated the local authority's commitment to bolstering the health sector and elevating service levels for citizens, acknowledging the Health Office's efforts despite limited resources.
