Hajjah: Hajjah governorate Telecommunications Office, in cooperation with the Sub-Committee for Summer Courses and Activities, on Saturday launched cyber and tech awareness activities for summer courses.
According to Yemen News Agency, at the launch event in the governorate's capital, Ali al-Qutaib, the head of the education sector in the governorate, emphasized the importance of educating students in summer courses about the fundamentals of cybersecurity and the dangers of using the internet and technology unsafely.
Issam al-Wazzan, the director of the governorate's capital district, praised the Telecommunications Office's efforts in this regard, which come within the framework of protecting children and youth from the cultural invasion waged by the enemy through the internet.
Ayman Nassar, the deputy director of the governorate's Telecommunications Office, indicated that the awareness campaign will include summer courses in the governorate's capital and districts to ensure students benefit and achieve the desired goals of building a generation equipped with awareness and a strong faith-based identity.
He urged the students to make the most of these activities, learn how to use the internet safely, connect it to their faith and Quranic culture, and utilize this service to develop the capabilities of children and youth.
Meanwhile, Mustafa Sabah, the education official at the governorate center, praised the role of communications in raising awareness among children and youth about the dangers of the negative use of the internet.
