Mukayras: A training course for animal health workers was concluded in Mukayras district of Bayda governorate. The course was organized by Mukayras Agricultural Cooperative Society and Bunyan Development Foundation, funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives Funding Unit.
According to Yemen News Agency, over ten days, the course aimed to equip 17 participants with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in animal health, enhancing their ability to provide veterinary services to livestock breeders. It covered the fundamental roles of animal health workers through both theoretical and practical field training, including the application of veterinary quarantine procedures.
During the closing ceremony, which was attended by the Director of Mukayras District, Yasser Jahlan, and the head of the agricultural sector in the governorate, Engineer Mohammed al-Haidari, several speakers emphasized the importance of holding such courses in accordance with the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to activate the role of the community and involve it in local development.
The speakers emphasized the necessity of implementing such specialized courses, which focus on training and qualifying veterinary personnel from the local community, thus contributing to improving the level of services provided to livestock breeders. The trainees, in their address, commended the efforts of those responsible for the course, which focuses on the care and protection of livestock from epidemics and diseases, as well as their development.
