General

Hajjah: The Scholars and Learners Unit in Hajjah Province organized an expanded meeting for scholars and preachers from the Tihama-area districts to mark the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi emphasized the role of scholars and preachers in raising awareness about the significance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday, confronting what participants described as enemies of Islam, and supporting the causes of the Muslim nation.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sufi praised the religious positions of Tihama's scholars and preachers, noting their contributions to exposing alleged enemy plots and correcting what he described as distorted cultural concepts and destructive ideas. He called for continued mobilization in military training courses, urging preparations for what he described as the battle to liberate the homeland, end the aggression, blockade, and strengthen religious commitment inspired by the Prophet's example.

The meeting, attended by Deputy Governors Abdulkarim Khmousi and Hizam Masoud, featured remarks by Mohammed Aishan, Director of the General Authority of Endowments and Guidance Office, who reviewed aspects of the Prophet's life, struggle, and support for the oppressed. Aishan highlighted the role of Yemen's Aws and Khazraj in supporting the Prophet and Islam, describing the commemoration of his birth as an opportunity to reinforce faith-based identity and Quranic culture.

Scholar Ali Odhabi stated that the Prophet represents a divine blessing to the Muslim nation and emphasized the importance of following his example of patience, knowledge, courage, and struggle. He criticized those who reject commemorations of the Prophet's birthday. Scholar Ali Al-Salawi reviewed aspects of the Prophet's biography, accusing the Jews of distorting it to distance Muslims from the Prophet and his example. He stressed the role of scholars in speaking the truth, strengthening resilience, and supporting the oppressed.

A statement issued at the meeting, attended by Scholars and Learners Unit official Adel Al-Hassani, district directors, and mobilization officials, expressed full support for the decisions of the leadership, including the principle of 'blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation.' The statement described confronting aggression and blockade and defending the homeland as legitimate, citing Quranic verses concerning retaliation against aggression and support for those who defend themselves after being wronged.

The scholars called on the Yemeni people and the Muslim nation to remain united, trust in Allah, uphold the Quran, and follow its teachings. The statement also addressed the suffering of the Yemeni people under more than 11 years of US-Saudi aggression and blockade, alleging extensive damage to civilians and infrastructure.

Tihama scholars called for general mobilization, heightened readiness, vigilance, national unity, and cooperation with security agencies to maintain stability and protect the internal front. They also called for supporting the front lines with funds and personnel, participating in training and mobilization courses, and avoiding cooperation or intelligence activities with the enemy.

The statement renewed its call to those who had joined the opposing side to reconsider their positions and return to what it described as the right path. It urged Saudi Arabia to lift the blockade and end what the statement described as its occupation and aggression against Yemen, asserting that this would be the only path toward peace and good-neighborly relations.

The scholars further warned against participation in alliances against Yemen, stating that such actions would not prevent the Yemeni people from seeking what they described as their legitimate rights and national resources. Regarding Palestine, the statement reaffirmed that Palestine remains the central cause of the Muslim nation and stressed continued support for Gaza and all of Palestine. It called on Arab and Muslim peoples to place the Palestinian cause among their highest priorities.

The scholars rejected normalization with Israel and warned against the 'Greater Israel' project, changes to the Middle East, and the Abraham Accords. They expressed solidarity with Iran against what they described as US-Israeli aggression, as well as with Lebanon's Islamic resistance and people. They condemned what they described as US-Saudi aggression against Iraq and warned against calls to disarm resistance movements in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iraq.

The statement rejected the presence of US and foreign military bases in the region, calling for their removal and describing attacks against them as legitimate. The Tihama scholars also condemned what they described as violations by Saudi authorities against Islam's sanctities and called for an investigation into the alleged incidents.

The meeting concluded with congratulations to the Yemeni people, the Muslim nation, and the leadership on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, while calling for the occasion to be used to strengthen awareness, unity, and adherence to the Prophet's example, conduct, mercy, and struggle.
