Hajjah University Hosts Event to Honor Imam Zaid’s Martyrdom

Hajjah: Hajjah University organised a speech event to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayd, peace be upon him. At the event, Abdulmajid Sharaf al-Din, a member of the Yemen Scholars Association, emphasized the importance of following the path of Imam Zaid in his revolution, approach, and movement for the sake of Allah.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Din highlighted the significance of learning from the revolution of Imam Zaid, particularly in correcting concepts and mobilizing the nation against tyrants under any circumstances. He noted the importance of commemorating the anniversary, which is linked to a significant personality with a lasting impact on the history and life of the Islamic nation. Al-Din also mentioned that the Yemeni people sincerely express their adherence to the correct faith approach and the teachings of the Great Prophet (PBUH) and his family.

The member of the Yemeni Scholars Association elaborated on the merits of Imam Zaid, including his heroism, knowledge, and piety, which continue to inspire generations. He also addressed the ongoing conspiracies and challenges faced by the Ummah, particularly the struggles of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip against the Zionist enemy, supported by the US and Europe.

Dr. Yousef Al-Sabah, Vice Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, noted the importance of remembering Imam Zaid's martyrdom to inspire action against injustice and oppression. He reviewed aspects of Imam Zaid's biography, his piety, and connection to the Holy Quran, and emphasized the revolutionary goals of raising awareness and resisting stagnation and submission to tyrants.

Al-Sabah stressed the need for concerted efforts to mobilize, train, and support the armed forces in the holy battle against the Zionist enemy and its allies, advocating for the victory of the oppressed.
