Hajjah Welcomes Hodeida Walking Expedition Participants

Hajjah: Officials in Hajjah governorate welcomed a group of long-distance walkers from Hodeida governorate who completed a 20-day journey on foot across several Yemeni governorates as part of a sports and community initiative. Hajjah province undersecretaries Ahmed Al-Akhfash and Mohammed Al-Qadi, along with Mobilization Official Hamoud Al-Maghribi, received the participants upon their arrival in Hajjah.

According to Yemen News Agency, the walking expedition included Zakaria Ahmed Buraij, Abdullah Jabli, and Mushtaq Jamali, who traveled on foot from Hodeidah Governorate over a period of 20 days. During the reception, the participants briefed local officials on their journey, which passed through the governorates of Ibb, Dhamar, Sana'a, Mahweet, and Hajjah. The initiative was organized under the slogan 'Determination That Refuses Defeat.'

The participants stated that the journey aimed to promote walking as a sport and coincided with celebrations marking Yemen's Unity Day on May 22. Officials attending the reception highlighted the significance of such initiatives in encouraging social cohesion and community engagement within a national framework. They also expressed their readiness to facilitate and support similar activities.
